Hello folks, this is Donna with Education Freedom for Oregon.
We need your help.
Oregon's public schools are in crisis--proficiency is at an all-time low, absenteeism is skyrocketing, violence is increasing, learning time is shifted from traditional reading, writing and arithmetic to controversial subjects, and the government's answer is to remove graduation standards.
Many students are trapped in a school setting that is not meeting their learning needs and not helping them learn the knowledge and skills that will serve them well in life. Our goal is to help Oregon families who are struggling with this education crisis by bringing two constitutional school choice ballot measures to Oregon voters in November 2024.
With the Open Enrollment and the School Choice education measures parents will be empowered to choose the school setting that best fits the needs of their children—academic and family values. These measures will also allow Oregon’s education dollars to follow students to their chosen school setting so that all families have the financial ability to choose the best school for their children.
With these measures we are the closest we have ever been in Oregon to empowering parents to choose where they want their children to go to school and giving all students access to the learning environment that welcomes them and best fits their needs.
With School Choice programs we will be able to level the playing field and give all students access to quality education and incentivize public schools to improve.
Oregon students are our future. Let’s make sure they get a quality education to help them and to help Oregon.
